Weyoto GitGPT – Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 28-Apr-2025
Welcome to Weyoto GitGPT (“we,” “our,” “us”).
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform.
1. What Information We Collect
When you use Weyoto GitGPT, we collect only the data necessary to operate the service:
- Email Address: Used for passwordless login and account identification.
- API Key: Uniquely generated for each user to authenticate secure API calls.
- GitHub OAuth Access: You connect your GitHub account using OAuth during setup. We never request or store your GitHub username/password or require a Personal Access Token (PAT).
We do not collect or store:
- The contents of your GitHub repositories
- Your GPT usage data beyond standard usage logging
Repository data is retrieved live per API request and never stored on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely to:
- Authenticate and authorize your API activity
- Provide secure, real-time access to GitHub data via your GPT
- Monitor usage and enforce plan limits (e.g., free tier, Pro plan)
- Communicate important account updates (e.g., authentication issues, plan changes)
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Emails and API keys are stored securely in a PostgreSQL database hosted on DigitalOcean.
- GitHub OAuth tokens are encrypted and securely stored.
- All communications are encrypted with HTTPS.
- No repository data is stored — it is fetched live per request.
- Our infrastructure includes firewalls, access controls, and monitored security practices.
4. Your Choices and Controls
- You can regenerate your API key from your dashboard at any time.
- You can disconnect GitHub access from your account at any time.
- You can request full account deletion by emailing us at [email protected].
5. Third-Party Integrations
Currently, GitGPT integrates with:
- GitHub (via OAuth)
Additional integrations (e.g., Google Drive, Figma, Notion) will follow the same approach: live access only, no storage, no unauthorized sharing.
6. Children’s Privacy
Weyoto GitGPT is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Last Updated” date and notify users via email when appropriate.
